Strenghtening Geo-political ties between India and US

Recently the Prime Minister of India Shri. Narendra Modi visited the US on the remarkable occasion of Yoga Day along with strengthening synergy between the two strong democracies and withholding great diplomatic, strategic, and economic ties between the power-houses.
PM Modi is the only Prime Minister of a country to be called upon in the US Congress for the second time to deliver a speech.

"We do not see India as supplanting any country. We see this process as India gaining its rightful position in the world."
His resounding message echoed across the globe as he emphatically asserted India deserves a much higher and wider preface in global affairs.
"India is fully prepared and committed to protecting its sovereignty and dignity".
The PM emphasized the indespentible peace in border areas for normal bilateral ties with China. Simultaneously, he made it unequivocally clear that India stands fully committed to safeguarding its sovereignty.
The stage is set for a new chapter in India-US relations as the two nations navigate a rapidly changing world.
The tour commences the vibrant celebrations of International yoga day at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
India and the United States stand at an emerging point of a new era. Hoist to boost their bonds at various levels of engagement.
6 Years later, the end of the "Technological Denial Regime" and the overcoming of the "hesitations of history" had developed into the initiative for critical and emerging technologies (iCET), which President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Modi announced in May 2022.
The initiative is looking at technologies to be shared in critical sectors such as Defence, Space, semiconductors, Artificial Intelligence, and quantum computing.
High on the agenda will be the deepening of defence ties, partnerships in technology, and India's role in the Indo-pacific.
Further, as discussed India-USA has also strengthened its ties in the Space sector. One of the best examples of this can be seen through the Artemis Accords.
Artemis Accords
Recently, Indian Ambassador to the US signed the document confirming India's acceptance of Artemis. India became the 27th member to join the Accords.
Artemis Accords The Accords are associated with a programme which aims to send humans to the moon permanently by 2024.
What is Artemis Programme?
ARTEMIS stands for Acceleration Reconnection Turbulence and Electrodynamics of the Moon's Interaction with the Sun.
It is NASA's next mission to the moon.
It will be launched by the the space launch system (SLS), aboard the Orion spacecraft.
It aims to land humans on the moon by 2024.
It also plans to land the first woman and 1st coloured man in space.
The project includes a base on the lunar surface, multiple ferrying spacecraft, a small orbiting space station called the 'Lunar Gateway', and a constellation of navigation and communication satellites.
Artemis mirror a Chinese-Russian plan for 'The International Lunar Research Station" (ILRS).
What are Artemis Accords?
A non-binding set of principles to guide Civil space exploration and use in the 21st century.
They were established in 2020 by NASA with 7 other founding members, nations.
Principles: There are 10 principles which guide Artemis accords, including transparency, Interoperability Registration of space objects, Deconfliction of activities, etc.
Opportunities for India
It will aid India in upcoming missions like Chandrayaan-3 and Gaganyan through Knowledge and research sharing.
Indian companies can now join the global space economy and access new markets.
Collaborative space missions create opportunities for technology transfer, joint ventures, and commercial partnerships, enabling the growth of India's Space Industry.
